POSITION SUMMARY

The Sexual Health Ambassador Program (SHAP) Manager will educate and train community members through collaboration with local partner organizations, schools, family, friends and neighbors. They will do this by managing a team of volunteer ambassadors and conducting health education workshops on sexuality, sexual and reproductive health, and associated cultural stigma in both English and Spanish. As a member of the Education, Learning, and Engagement department, the SHAP Manager will report to the department Director of Community Education and Engagement and work closely with the Community Outreach Manager and select Community Outreach Specialists. As appropriate, they will engage in other outreach activities, such as information tables, service overview presentations, and community coalition work. As a member of the Education, Learning, and Engagement team, the SHAP Manager contributes to ensuring the strategic and financial goals of PPLM’s SHAP program. Additionally, this position will support the integration of PPLM’s strategic plan into SHAP programming, focused on disrupting health disparities and building health and racial equity across the state of Massachusetts.

Our team works with people of many races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, ages, abilities and lived experiences, and this position and the program’s ambassadors will serve as the face of the organization in many different communities to decrease stigma and increase access to sexual and reproductive healthcare, information, and education.

Compensation: 57-61k
